-Repeat winner of the Jayhawk Conference 5000m run at Butler Community College
-Four-time NAIA All-American and National Indoor track 3-mile champion at Ft Hays State
-National NAIA runner-up 26.2 mile marathon in debut race
-Inducted into the Ft. Hays State Athletic Hall of Fame in 2002

Marathon Career
-In 1982, set the record for the fastest marathon ever run in Kansas, which still stands (2:18:08)
-Won the 1984 Twin Cities Marathon
-Personal best of 2:11:35
-Posted second best time by an American that year
-Set the American record for 20 miles
-Won 1984 Hospital Hill half-marathon (1:05:14)
-Won Couples Classic 8K in Wichita with a time of 23:27 in 1983
-Selected to a U.S. National Team to compete in the 1985 World Cup Marathon in Hiroshima, Japan

-Volunteer Coach University of Texas in Austin (1988-1990)
-Women's cross country/track and field programs
-Won a NCAA National Indoor track & field team title in 1990
-Head Coach Butler Community College (7 years)
-Coached 20 individuals to NJCAA national championships
-Coached Melvin Lister (two-time U.S. Olympian in the triple jump and long jump)
-Won four national distance relay titles
-Holds current National Outdoor meet record for the 4x800m relay (7:20.48) set in 1999
-Won NJCAA National Cross Country team title in 1995

-Resumed racing in 2017 after 30-year hiatus from competition
